March 19th, 2021 marks the re-issue of the re-mastered “Flowers in the Rain” debut album by Passion d’Flower. Let’s call it Skutch Shimoda’s 30th birthday.
Recorded at Studio 92 back in 1991, “Flowers in the Rain” was recorded by Norm Barker with Sameer Gidwani on vocals and guitars, Neil Leyton on bass and backing vocals, and Mike Rogal on drums. Steve Downs also played 2nd guitar on “Snake in the Glen” and “The Smiling Trilogy”. Rogal left the band shortly after the release of their debut album on cassette, and Neil Leyton went on to sing lead vocals in The Conscience Pilate.
